Agree entirely with the Grumbler on Christmas goods this early but mince pies may be a special case. We get plenty of seasonal items esp fruit & Veg available all year round so why not make mince pies an normal bakery item rather than a Christmas item. Best and worst Mid Essex GP practices revealed MID Essex's best and worst rated doctor’s surgeries – as decided by patients – have been revealed in the annual survey.

The accident yesterday with a private jet crashing shortly after takeoff at Southend is a tragedy for those families affected.It shows the folly of using an airfield where housing estates are closely pack around its perimeter so after another few seconds flying it would have crashed into the houses
