Get past the main menu and it literally becomes one of the greatest games ever made.

I consider Ozzy and Sabbath as influential as the Beatles, or Beethoven. In the way that they shaped so, so much of what came after them. Even a lot of artists and bands that might not think they were influenced by them, yes. Yes you were! Even if it's not directly, but still.

RIP Ozzy. Feels unreal, he was one of the people you thought would be around forever.

It's staggering to think back on his (and Sabbath's) influence in music as a whole, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that every single rock and metal band would sound different today without them.

After hundreds of hours and thousands of games of Guilty Gear Strive, I have arrived at two truly revelational conclusions.

1. I tend to win against players that are not as good as I am.

2. I seem to struggle against players that are better than me.

I'm happy with how I played, I feel I did as well as I could, lived up to my seeding, and played fairly consistently throughout.

I do wish I could have pushed a little further, it's the second regional (?) after MIG Feb that I finished just outside of Top 8.

Okay, Edinbrawl done. The event was a blast and really well organised, had a lot of fun seeing familiar faces and meeting new people. GGs!

Another good result last Saturday at MIG. I never checked that going in, so only just realised I was seeded 19th, quite chuffed with my final placement!

Next major stop is Edinbrawl IV, might be a tall order to top this at a big one like Edinbrawl, but I'll be damned if I don't try. Onwards!

2,590 games later, I have made celestial for the first time last night! I am a slow learner and quite aware of that, but it still feels like weeks or months go by where I don't get any sense of improvement, so moments like these are all the more worth it. Onwards! 💪

Leverless I'm finding the most comfortable in general, but there's the odd thing like the the GG super input (632146) that I can not for the life of me do consistently on P1 side. Annoying cause on stick I had 100% consistency on that input.

I don't think I've found a controller type which makes everything comfortable so far. Pad had trouble with hitting multiple buttons together, stick was comfortable for most things except for double directionals (22, 66 etc) and stuff like IADs.

Yeah they're alright! They're just the PC ports of the time just updated to support controllers and modern OS, but don't think anything else has been done to them. Not sure how close to arcade versions they were, but it's probably the best you can get today.

Yeah been longing for a decent collection of MK1-3 with rollback and multiple versions like Trilogy. Can't believe these are not really available, apart from the PC versions on GOG. I don't think they're amazing games but historical importance and nostalgia alone would make them sell a lot of copies

Neutralmania 2 was wild yesterday, TOs deserve a huge applause for running it so smoothly given the huge crowd that turned up! Such a great day out!

Also really happy with my performance, expected a 2-2 at best, but ended up going 3-2 and losing to two really strong players. GGs all around!
