Organizers scrambled to evacuate thousands of participants from the country during the 12-day conflict with Iran.
Shalev Ben David did not expect his free trip to Israel to end on the pool deck of a Cyprus-bound cruise liner while Iranian missiles rained down on Tel Aviv, but he made the best of it.
“We partied the second we got on the boat till we got off,” he said.
