I know that isn't easy, but it is worth it, even on days like today that feel so heavy. My promise is that I'll keep doing the work to honor those who are no longer here and who continue to protect us. My hope is that you make that choice with me, too.

The hard truth is that too many of us have lost sight of each other's worth, but I spent today reminding myself that repairing the breach doesn't mean forgetting the pain or their memories. It means refusing to let it harden us. Choosing decency and compassion even when cruelty is normalized.

Too many families are grieving. Even 24 years later, the heartbreak and loss of 9/11 still feels like a fresh wound, and the constant threat of violence reminds us how fragile our world has become.

I was raised in the pews of St. Michael's, where I learned that the Book of Isaiah calls each of us to be repairers of the breach:

To see the pain and peril around us not as reasons to turn away, but as invitations to step in and help heal.

I've been thinking about that calling for much of today.

I am horrified by today's news.

Political violence is evil, and there is no place for it in America. It's unsustainable, and we cannot ignore it in our democracy.

I'm praying for Charlie's children and his family. They lost their son, husband, and father today. This must not become our new normal.

This is sick and twisted. Release the Epstein files. Now.

I’m South Glens Falls born and raised. My dad was the public school principal in Greenfield Center, my mom dedicated her career as a social worker in Saratoga County, and at a young age they taught me one really simple thing:

You always show up for your people.

Billionaires stop paying into Social Security after $176,000 but EJ Antoni calls it a Ponzi scheme and thinks it needs to end.

But here’s the kicker:

He says folks like us should “pay Social Security taxes but never actually receive any of those benefits.”

You have got to be kidding me.

Another 90 days to juice up Wall Street, but 0 days to help the working families, farmers, and small businesses already getting squeezed.

Today’s announcement in DC is proof of how the powerful protect the powerful.

For kids like my Grandpa Tom in Hudson Falls and all of our neighbors across #NY21.

He made sure I knew each of you deserves the same shot he had. It’s why I will always believe you are worth fighting for—no matter who tries to stop me.

His life was a testament to what’s possible when we show up for one another, and when our country shows up for us.

That’s how we created the most prosperous middle class in the world—and that’s the America I still believe in.

Where each of us can live with dignity and thrive.

My grandfather sent money to his mom from his job in high school.

After he served in WWII, he returned to a country that kept its promise:

He used the GI Bill to attend Skidmore, spent 38 years teaching in Luzerne, and served on the Glens Falls Board of Safety under 5 mayors.

My Grandpa Tom was born in Hudson Falls during the Great Depression.

When his single mother couldn’t afford to raise him, his Aunt Lillian took him in.

His neighbors fed him through their back window, and because of their kindness, he met my grandmother—their daughter.
