I don't like to talk about stories before they are fully reported, but I am writing on ICE in a Minnesota town that isn't Minneapolis. However bad you think it is, it is worse. It is a campaign of pure terror whose only strategic goal is more terror. There is no strategy other than to break people.

Listening to the pop music station on the radio in the cab here in Berlin. After a commercial, it went to the news. All of the words were in German in the lead story, except for three that I recognized: Minneapolis, violence, Trump. The #1 story even in Germany.

We announced last week no show tonight. I’m in Berlin.

As I say in the piece, if all of the forces are united in wanting him gone, those six cowards are not gonna stand in the way. At a certain point, it becomes a question of legitimacy. And that’s ultimately for us to decide.
