It has been a problem from the start, but the western theme park setting was able to camouflage that a lot more than the matrix semi-near future that is season 3.

Really a shame they couldn't put more care into the show. I love the overall idea Westworld is working on here and a lot of what they are doing is really good. But then you also constantly get pulled out by moments with some of the laziest writing, overall world building and directing in prestige TV

Watching Westworld Season 3 in the year 2025 for the first time is quite interesting.
Might in some aspects even work better if you haven't seen season 1&2.
The whole theme park setting is basically gone and it turned into a show about AI and robots in the world of the rich and powerful.
