Worked with Yb for 6 years and dealt with these blue and green lasers everyday. Now seeing these two colors again is quite nostalgic.

Snowboarding with a labmate at Axamer today. Polish guy skied since 10 yo. I was able to follow somewhat decent, especially on the steeper stuff, thanks to the superiority of snowboard over ski. Don't mind the end part of the video.

First time snowboarding at Schlick 2000. Amazing conditions, barely any people on the slope, and beautiful views. Now with slopes like Schlick opening, thank you Stubai, goodbye Stubai. I'll remember you as the icy mogul field where I first learnt snowboarding.

Have been looping Arcane songs. love the good music company, Riot. Heimer's cheesy country song really resonant with me. Guess it's just right for my stage of life. Go spin the wheels and see where it lands~ And where the chips fall it's not your concern, nah

18.11.2024 physics Nobel laureate Wolfgang Ketterle visited our lab. He was super quick and thoughtful, despite the travel and heavy schedule. I somehow worked up the courage to grab a selfie together, mostly thanks to Zitian, my previous labmate and now a new grad student of Wolfgang.

Just finished Arcane. Art, music and story are all fantastic. Only watched this single show this year and I'm satisfied. Many art works question transcendence, Arcane is one of few that worked on me. We all make wrong choices, not as much as Jinx :), but they make life's experiences beautiful.

Practicing quick edge change/knee steering, and surviving all the moguls made by the huge skier crowd. What a raucous bunch, the skiers are😁.

I think about this a lot as I'm panicking in my shower.

Today, went to Stubai as usual. First time using a 360 camera. I could swear that I can carve now, just a month into my first snow season, but apparently not, especially that toe edge, horrible.

A complete shut-in in the US for ten years, coming to Innsbruck for just 2 months, I now find my life interesting enough that I have the urge to show it off to the void. First time doing social networks, this small new platform seems like a nice starting place.
