As a DH, it doesn’t bother with defense; it’s here to make contact and look good doing it. Smooth, confident, and maybe a little too chatty about its time “playing in the old country,” the Eurasian Jay is the wildcard who might just hit a grand slam… or demand an espresso mid-inning.
27.10.2025 22:47 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0All the way from across the pond, especially for the playoffs, the Eurasian Jay struts into the lineup like a seasoned import with flair and finesse. Sporting subtle pinks, blues, and blacks, it’s the most stylish bird in the clubhouse - think Euroleague meets Major League Birdball!

At shortstop, it’s the glue guy - the kind of player who saves runs and snacks, tucking both away for later. Reliable, unflappable, and always ready for extra innings, the Grey Jay is the unsung hero who holds the infield together.

Found across the boreal outfield, it’s got soft feathers, a calm demeanor, and the hands (er, claws) of gold. He's the spirit and emblem of the CWHC for good reason!
26.10.2025 22:54 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Also known as the Canada Jay and the “Whisky Jack,” this cool-headed veteran thrives in cold weather and clutch moments. A master of resourcefulness, the Grey Jay doesn’t need the spotlight - it just quietly makes the impossible plays.

As a catcher, the Steller’s Jay commands respect. It calls the plays with a raspy bark and isn’t afraid to throw a little shade if someone tries to steal a base. Quick on its wings and quicker with comebacks, it’s the defensive backbone every team dreams of!
26.10.2025 01:26 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Suited up in deep blues and blacks, the Steller’s Jay crouches behind home plate with mountain-tested grit. A west-coast native, it’s got the kind of attitude that can handle any pitch, any weather, and any heckling squirrel in the stands.

Our grey jay mascot is wearing their @torontobluejays.bsky.social colours for the upcoming World Series! Over the next four days, we're going to tell you a little about some of their avian teammates!
