Blah, I watched these movies for the first time last week:

Sergio Leoneโ€™s Dollars Trilogy
Akira Kurosawaโ€™s Yojimbo
Clint Eastwoodโ€™s Unforgiven

Hereโ€™s what I wrote about them:

AMC Lincoln Square for Twisters on iMAX on opening weekend.

Glen Powell wears a plain white T-shirt and walks in the rain. Half the sold-out theater got really horny and began cheering.

Looking at Ryan Gosling and mumbling โ€œheโ€™s literally meโ€ is gender affirming care for white dudes but a lot of you arenโ€™t ready for that conversation

This reminds me of those fake comeback attempts Boston used to have.

Iโ€™m sure there will be no negative short- or long-term consequences to doing something egregiously stupid on a huge scale.

I thought there was no way it would happen again. Every time I rewatch that Hali shot, I swear for a split second it looks like it's about to airball.

Also not a good contact finisher. Great player, don't get me wrong, but this is what you need to accept in the long run IMO.

A little biased here, but his ceiling has always been a #2 guy.

Mid first step, but elite second/third step makes him an incredible #2 option who can exploit already created advantages.

The moment he has to do things by himself for himself, things get much harder for him.

Unrelated, but I noticed that you rewatched Aftersun. Out of curiosity, (judging by the like) how different was the second viewing to the first?

So Dallas is getting Cooper Flagg

And the Spurs might use the 2nd overall pick to convince the Bucks to trade Giannis

We live in the world of 'Burn After Reading' How Coen brothers' comedy about a D.C. blackmailing scheme gone wrong has become the political film of the moment.

Been seeing that ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN quote circulating ("these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand"), but we're way past that now. Today, I wrote about BURN AFTER READING as the political film of our times: thereveal.substack.com/p/we-live-in...

From my transcript:

โ€œThere was a huge difference in making this film and Call Me by Your Name ... The terrible stresses and strains and so forth that you see in the characters in this film, theyโ€™re not there when you get to something like Call Me by Your Name. Thatโ€™s all in the past.โ€
