In the era of live TV dramas (Armchair, Kraft, etc.), how did they include large crowd shots outside? For example, the Piccadilly New Years eve scenes in 'The Criminals'?

Also, for some reason (bad time in college?), Hollywood loves writing the bitchy, mean college prof with too big an office who belittles students in class and only cares about career advancement - I've met, like, two of those people. But it def feeds into the 'overpaid, elitist schmuck' narrative.

Ran into Gabriel Byrne at luggage collection in Boston this summer. I had just shown my teen Miller's Crossing a couple weeks previously, so I said let's go say 'hi.' Byrne was super nice, he was just coming home from 35mm screening of the film in LA, chatted with us the whole time we waited.
