Glad to see the Lewis Skelly red is being roundly condemned but we can’t treat it as a black swan event or a one off aberration. Webb is trying to create a culture of referees being stars and it needs to stop and it needs to be called out.

Small things I took away from Jesus’s performance:

1) Didn’t hold onto the ball too long
2) Accuracy with the finishing wasn’t there but he got into the right positions
3) Movement was brilliant all night minus one cross where he didn’t attack the box
4) He looked happy again

Personally my XI for today, rotate and keep some players fresh for United but another chance for a couple of fringe players to get some reps. Still a strong team with Partey, Cala, Nelli, Leo, Jesus, Ethan on the bench

Can’t underestimate West Ham but I think we win. I think we’ll have one eye on United. Personally, I would bring in Merino for Partey, hope Partey can come on at RB for Timber, can Kiwior or Zinchenko come in for Cala and Sterling/Jesus for Martinelli. Still a strong XI and a strong bench

Agree, also saw shades of Haaland off the ball where he struggles to get into the game and it’s almost like playing a man down. Would love him but Isak just makes more sense
