I really enjoy the Vakenroth/Valentina dynamic.
But also, and just as importantly...
SmallDom is hot.
And I haven't seen anyone do SmallDom on Dragon before.
If anyone has any recommendations for Villainess stories or manhwas, I'd love to hear them, especially spicy ones. No matter what changes I make to the story, it's staying erotic, and monsterfucking with its focus.
20.06.2025 22:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ultimately, the entire story is starting to shift closer to a Villainess manhwa. And now that I realize it, I might make some shifts to the story with that in mind.
I might even redo it from the start, lessening what LitRPG elements I already have.
If you spent all your life confined and limited and weak, what would you do when suddenly that was no longer the case?
Would you even recognize the woman you would become?
Yet, in the dragon's hoard she finds power. A belt that brings her great strength. And with that strength she is able to start acting.
And if the princess has agency, to what end does she need a prince?
Goodness through expectation is not goodness innate.
She is not necessarily the mold she was born into.
And poured into other molds, she might assume new shapes.
Have new thoughts in isolation of her upbringing.
In a cage, she is finally free.
Able to act and speak her own mind.
Able to think her own thoughts.
And her thoughts are not what she at first expected.
In being spent, Valentina is finally free. She is still confined and threatened by death, but there is no more punishment or fate that she can be confined to.
She no longer has to pretend to be good. Or weak. Or loyal.
Valentina is sacrificed to a Dragon. As a bride, as a slave, as property, her condition is intentionally blurry.
But what do Dragons do?
They covet and they hoard.
They possess what they cannot use.
This story is what happens when that doesn't work. When despite being good and kind, you are still sacrificed for your family's benefit.
When you are denied your handsome prince because he never existed.
Beyond that, much of her kindness exists as a defensive mechanism. If she is seen as idealistic and foolish, she is less of a threat to her siblings, who are not above assassination and intimidation to gain the throne.
Goodness is an attempt to be small.
The dream of the good prince, she realizes in time, is the dream of agency. A handsome stranger who listens to her and then has the power to act upon her behalf.
A dream of agency so buried in misogyny that it has to wear the mask of a man.
She is trained as a political tool by her parents and tutors, but also recognizes that she exists to be traded away as a token of that very system.
Her dreams of romance aren't just idle poetic fantasy, but a hunger to escape. To live outside the bondage of her birthright.
I wanted monarchy to both be institutional oppression, but also the home of that sort of dreamy naΓ―vetΓ© that princesses are often portrayed with.
So with Valentina I combined them both.
To remove the teeth from that institution waters down the setting and makes the common experience something unrecognizable.
It risks having the rest of the setting as just the backdrop for Real House Wives of Camelot. Which might not be bad in itself, but it didn't feel right for this story.
Valentina is a Princess. And what sort of monster is that? From the start I didn't want to write her as just the Disney Princess archetype, that longing for a handsome prince that would rescue her.
Monarchy is an oppressive institution, and princesses are part of that.
The big problem I think, while I intended to write the dragon Vakenroth as monstrous and alien, so far he has been the less compelling of the two characters.
Sure, he murders and tortures people like a cat would if it was of size.
But what is that compared to royalty?
I've been working on a big story "I Was a Princess Abducted by a Dragon, but I Used His Treasure Hoard to Dominate Him" for a while now.
It was intended to be a LitRPG #Monsterfucker story where a big dragon gets dominated by a small princess. But it has evolved out of control since then.
I'm trying out Bluesky again. I'm still trying to learn to best use it. I was on mastodon for a while on another penname, and I'm still getting used to the differences.
The big difference so far seems to be tags are less important. I'd appreciate any advice.
Oof.
The whole "Is it noble self-sacrifice or self-loathing?" bit resonates more than I'd like.
Princess Valentina realized that she never actually wanted a handsome prince. What she wanted was someone who would listen to her, but had the power to act upon her behalf.
All of her romantic dreams were actually a demand for agency when she couldn't imagine having power for herself.
Is there any cyberware that really jumps out to you more than the rest?
19.06.2025 22:00 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Is she made of different people? Or was she taken apart and then put back together?
19.06.2025 21:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've been doing a longer Princess/Dragon story, and while the dragon himself is interesting, I think the Princess has become the standout character. Just exploring the monstrous and alien nature of royalty itself and the contradictions within.
19.06.2025 21:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0While physical features like teeth, tails and horns can be quite nice, I think the mental jumps out all the more, at least for a longer story.
What is the mindset of something inhuman?
How do they interact with the world differently?
And what does that reveal about ourselves by contrast?
Any good recommendations for Monsterfucker Romance?
I've read (and written) a good amount of erotica, but I'm wanting to branch out.
