I use JavaScript so get them in the console anyway but being built in I can filter and format to remove internal cruft and make it even clearer.

Added built in debug logging to beepmini, so if there's a problem you get an error message and stack trace. The stack trace is new, but helps a lot for working out what function caused the error.

I can only imagine! I've been wondering how the ai in Pokémon pocket works. I see people saying it's bad but I can only imagine it's massively complex because of all the combinations of cards, deck and deck order etc. Must be crazy complex.

I also want them to push crates and bombs. Pickup collectibles/ loot. Ignite bombs. Even start fights amongst themselves. Generally be unpredictable.

I'm actually getting somewhere with this now. Scrapped what I had and started again but kept the things I learnt. Also allowed me to improve a few internal systems. Now have characters who walk around randomly, who follow paths, and run around when on fire. Now to make them chas and attack.

This is actually quite brilliant, up to and including the final sentence 🔥

Well I worked out why the crates weren't burning. I was loading the AI system with the same name I used for the fire system (copy and paste error) so it was running AI instead of fire. So that's now working at least. That's what I get for doing these things at 1 in the morning. 🤦

That's probably sensible! I think I went too big, changing the architecture to try to fit future things and breaking a lot in the process. Hopefully I can unpick it all and work out where it's gone wrong.

The enemies have gone from following a path to just standing still. But there's no JavaScript errors.

Plus fires no longer burn crates. That's not even related to ai but it stopped working since I started writing the ai stuff 😬

I used to have the character walking around following a path, which looks intelligent until they don't attack/ retaliate or respond to being burned alive. If this works I think it will be really cool - but it needs to work first!

Includes: - better enemy ai - enemy properties - astar to chase player - attack player when near enough (must be facing player and in tile next to them) - user setting to grab hearts, coins, etc that the player can pickup - user setting to drop items (including ones grabbed) on death - field of view/ line of sight - run around when on fire - allow player sneak attacks (use field of view) - respawn option on map reload (otherwise delete from map list)

Am currently trying to add AI to the adventure game maker in BeepMini. Specifically enemy AI (NOT chatgpt ai). That is how the enemy decides where to move, when to attack etc.

Never done anything this complex before, it's really frying my brain.

After celebrity traitors my wife and I were saying they should make a show called faithfuls where the audience don't know who the traitors are either. They can then show two versions of the same show from both perspectives which would make it more interesting seeing the traitors manipulate people.

Since series 2 I've barely watched the first half of each series cos there's too many people and I don't know who they are.

Celebrity traitors was interesting because I at least "knew" all the characters and had an idea of their personality.

I think the new secret traitor will be interesting.
