that will work until im drowning in objects i suppose. lol

that being said, i think if i use a lot of effort making something, it has earned its place in my house--certainly moreso than things i've bought and barely care about. so i think i will take that to heart. pouring pieces of myself into objects makes them more worthy to keep.

with how much 'trash' is in the world, i worry what im making is just more trash, which is a pretty harsh judgment on art.

but i deal with a lot of "growing up hoarder house" trauma, which significantly colors how i interact with objects.

started working on a yokai set of ceramic figurines which is the first artistic project i've really done in a long time. i'm trying hard to tell myself that what i want to make--or even just practice--is worth making. its so hard! art is hard, especially physical art.
