Not every genshin VA is with sound cadence. In addition to this, VAs have to pay out of pocket to enforce the AI protections.

Chinese AI protections only apply in China. With the dub VAs being mostly in America, they couldn’t enforce those protections if something were to happen.

And in regards to the attacking and harassing… bro, they made one fucking statement each, and got harassed by the fandom so badly they had to double down. They got sent death threats for essentially telling Jacob Takanashi “not cool”. Don’t make me laugh by saying you’re against harassment.

Because SAG legally is required to negotiate with the AI studios, and to do so in good faith. That means they can’t fully ban or avoid AI from being used against any of their VAs, which is why “AI with consent” has been their main negotiating point.

But they refused to sign the agreement the VAs gave them that had nothing to do with the “evil union”, long before SAG got involved. WHY? Not every Genshin VA is at sound cadence, and can’t exactly benefit from a studio they aren’t even at. Or do you only care about half the VAs?

They were given an agreement that isn’t from the union before the union ever got involved. If hoyo didn’t sign it, that’s on Hoyo, not the vas. Stop blaming the VAs for being rightfully upset.
