In recovery- got a new hip on Friday, and he’s already up and walking to the bathroom. Thank you for asking!! His nurse said that pts stay there for 2 months before rehab which seems crazy long though!

Started my new job at the old hospital today, and ran into 4 people I knew before 12.

My husband booked a flight for me and did not include my middle name on the reservation, so it kicked out my TSA pre-check.

And he did not wait for me at the checkpoint. 😭

His BP went up once he got hit in the leg by the bedside table- SBP >100. 😅

You’d think! But no this is a private hospital in MA. It caught fire in 2023 and hasn’t really recovered. Their new fire suppression system malfunctioned and closed most of their ORs. They’ve pushed his surgery three times now. So they’re trying to get him txf to the va hospital closer to Boston.

And then I asked if anyone’s been checking his pulse on the injured leg and he’s like “oh! Yeah!! It’s actually kinda hot and numb” and I’m like dad????????!

I asked my mom when they were going to transfer him to the ICU, and she was like “why? 🤷🏼‍♀️”. I asked her to recycle his BP and she was like “oh they took the machine out!”

It’s hard to be on the other side of medicine, and hard to be many stayed away!

In the latest chronicles of my dad’s hospitalization- this hospital has a fluid shortage and is asking him to do PO fluid boluses with a bp of 72/54.

My dad fell and is going to have hip replacement surgery tomorrow as a result. My mom called and sent a pic of his monitor where he has multiple SBPs in the 70s and she’s like “he’s fiiiiine”

When I started dating my husband, I asked if his family was a 5k on Thanksgiving family. Good news- they aren’t! Because, unbeknownst to me at the time, they are actually a CrossFit family.

They had the self checkouts open but I had a lot of produce which is typically faster with the regular line.

I felt bad but people were like “oh I only have one item can I go?” And I’m like please just use the self check out!!

It’s the day before thanksgiving and they only have one staffed till at Kroger open.

Closest I’ve had is a frozen avocado margarita at Disney world and it was great. 😊

An update to this is that the office called to cancel - is this bc I looked at his LinkedIn on accident?! I’m now with a new provider at a different clinic on 12/31.

I get Threads snippets imbedded in my IG feed and now in my Facebook feed. It’ll be like half the story to entice you into downloading. But I simply will not be doing that.

It would just give me alerts to be like “your friend has posted, check it out!” And I’d do that. Where here I have to remember to go into the app 😂

It’s bc I can’t get push alerts on when my homies post!
