My take: "as" makes it more readable. As in I want to read it out to someone or try to learn the language. Because it's almost literal.

The angle-brackets are more parseable for my brain tho. If you know the syntax, this sticks out.

But seriously, what the hell is this new color picker? I can't find the colors I'm looking for and don't event get how this "palette" works. Feels like a total black box. I can't even enter my own hex-codes.

‘Vibe coding’ as a phrase is embarrassing to me. In an industry where the bar was already very low, it suggests we can care even less. It’s another step towards enshittification.

tiptap is the first rich text editor I've used in my 26 years in this industry that doesn't suck. I still remember losing my mind over TinyMCE config when I tried to build my custom CMS back in school. Crazy that this feels like the first real advancement in this space since then 😄

I don't know why, but none of the tools I tried was able to deliver anything remotely usable. I wasn't even able to start the project. I guess my job is secure in the foreseeable future.

I tried out a few AI code generators today to prototype an app idea. The first one completely ignored the core idea, built some nice looking UI and basically said "here you go, you just need to build the rest yourself". The second one can't even manage to start the app bc of wrong deps.

Das Problem dabei ist, dass die meisten Leute Aussagen von ChatGPT für unfehlbarer halten als "Schwurbler auf Telegram". Ohne vernünftige Aufklärung wie ein LLM funktioniert, benutzen die meisten das Werkzeug falsch. Und das ist eine ernstzunehmende Gefahr.

Das Problem ist eher, dass Leute nicht verstehen was das Werkzeug kann und was nicht. Viele halten ChatGPT für eine magische "Wissensmaschine". Quellen hab ich ehrlich gesagt bisher bei keinem model gesehen. Sogar wenn ich danach gefragt habe kam oft nichts Konkretes. Übersehe ich die?

I don't get how some people seem to think 'security' is something the elite slaps in your face to gatekeep you. I mean, don't you care about _your_ credit card data to be safe?

I seriously don't get how any software engineer, who works on serious products, can think that AI is in a state where it makes engineers obsolete.
Yes, it's impressive what some AI tools can stitch together. But I haven't seen a single one that is able to build sth. you would rely your business on.

i think i want to write about getting data as a single roundtrip. i don’t understand why this topic is not talked about in the frontend world. it’s like this concept doesn’t even exist. yes, not everyone wants to use graphql, but not liking the solution doesn’t have to imply ignoring the problem
