I had a brilliant morning last week in Wiltshire searching for (and successfully seeing!) the magnificent great bustard for the first time.

The Great Bustard Project is well worth a visit. Their work is incredible and underpinned by an inspiring story of conservation determination.

Can anyone tell me what this is? Found in North Brewham, under clay clumps in a shallow stream.

It’s not the sexiest sign of spring, but I’ve just been foraging for tortoise food and the weeds have erupted in the past week 🌱🐢

Dandelion and cats ears, mallow, bristly oxtongue, campanula, plantain and more!

Golden sunlight bursts through a tangle of budding trees, casting long beams of light across a mossy woodland floor. New green shoots push up through leaf litter and patches of moss, catching the glow of the morning sun. A soft haze fills the air, with a hint of warmth and life returning to the woods.
