As someone that never believed, the tailing point below was something I had to learn. People didn't believe I don't. You're just lapsed or arguing with a deity.

Now many see atheism as an -ism or a belief but it is an a-. The a- is for not. Humanism is an -ism but, atheism is a just nope to theism.

Doing actual nothing is a surprisingly powerful weapon. Do no work, pay no taxes or bills, the regime will fall. Deny the regime a target and resources at the same time. Channel your time & $$$ to community supports.

In the US a dude kneeling during the anthem at a football game to protest police brutality got more outrage and consequences than a political party embracing full on white supremacy and Gestapo tactics.

There is a reason most "taxpayer" groups only use data from 1974 and forward. They don't want you to know that 50% to 96% top tax rates were normal for decades and the main engine of progress. Don't complain about the taxes, complain about wages being too low, union busting or lack of basic income.

And meanwhile the sound of crickets from western leaders over Israel's crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Pretending that there isn't a genocide makes you complicit in the genocide.
Here is my piece on how to join the grandmother's resistance to genocide.

The biggest issues for πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ are wealth inequality and climate change.

Yet, O&G, mining companies and billionaires get everything they want from our federal and provincial governments while millions of Canadians remain trapped in legislated poverty.

Americans are welcome to join the boycott of America too. If you want to piss off Trump, #BuyCanadian. If you want to really fight fascism, use boycotts and a #GeneralStrike.

Stay strong in the struggle. Solidarity & love, has defeated hate many times.

Watching the Democratic Party establishment back the most corrupt horse in the NY Mayor primary instead of supporting any of the capable progressives shows why Americans holding out for midterms or 2028 are fooling themselves. Americans need a general strike to change course not a corporate duopoly.

Netanyahu has suckered the United States into a dangerous war with Iran.
It is all about distracting us from the death camp that is Gaza.
Israel is committing mass crimes against humanity. The world has gone along for the ride and now we are seeing the dangerous results of unchecked criminality.

If nukes are too dangerous for Iran to have, aren't they also too dangerous for Israel France, North Korea, the United Kingdom. India, Pakistan, China and the United States?

Shouldn't TΓΌrkiye, Germany, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands stop hosting nukes for others?

If Conservatives had tabled the exact same Bill C-2, Bill C-4 and Bill C-5 would the concerns of indigenous leaders, environmentalists, policy analysts, privacy experts, opposition and backbench MPs been heeded? Are Canadians truly comfortable with every future government having more police powers?

Notice how Carney's C-5 legislation is celebrated by O&G and many conservatives but indigenous leaders, progressives, environmentalist and some Liberal MPs are raising the alarm?

Basic Income has been recommended as policy since 1971 in Canada but governments are focused O&G/Mining company profits.

Fundamentalists will do anything to preserve their bubble against reality. That is why groups too extreme for the religious wars of 16th & 17th century Europe crossed an ocean to make an "evangelical" fiefdom in what is now the US. Understanding history helps understand the present.

Economic turmoil is not justification to trample on Treaty rights and obligations in Canada (or anywhere). Tell our MLA/MNA/MPP/MP/Senators that we are all Treaty Peoples. Many seem to need a reminder. Reconciliation means no returning to colonialism by government or economy. #G7 #cdnpoli

The cost to end hunger for the entire world is €50b (€42b in food production, €8b logistics) or $78.55b CAD. Global military spending was €2.8t for 2024, or $4.4t CAD. That means if just 1.8% of military spending were redirected, nobody would face starvation.

Time for more #BreadNotBombs.

The lack of domestic media coverage or glazed over coverage is very bad. Organizing is often a herding cats task. 99% of the cats are not into it and 1% are too into it. Boycotts of πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ in πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ didn't come from organizations or leaders though. We got threatened, people said "Okay, #ElbowsUp time."

15.06.2025 15:49 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Absolutely, the precarious nature of work in US makes it hard to organize/strike in general. However, having raised strike funds, wallets don't open until the strike starts. It's an unfortunate paradox. Normalizing general strikes as the "We The People" tool is the goal. It's never going to be easy.
