Agree we must find ways to reach boys and young men with better ways to think about gender, sex, masculinity. I wish I'd had that growing up. But also agree that the starting point here is weak.

This helps me understand what's going on here. The idea that straight men getting laid requires women to do something they don't want to do is so fucked up. Implies that hetero sex is always somewhere on a spectrum from deception to rape. This is what we are taught and need to unlearn.

When I was growing up in the 70s/80s, masculinity itself was defined largely around getting laid. It fucked up a lot of us boys, many forever.

What straight boys need is a whole different approach to gender/masculinity. The overall information environment sucks for that. But, living with a 16 year old boy in Seattle, I can see that it's not impossible. Framing it as how to get laid won't get us there, though.
