We hope to co-design and trial more interventions in order to help people adapt to these life-changing diseases.”

A new study led by our Long-Term Conditions Research Group has found that psychosocial and exercise interventions contribute to improving the lives of patients with lupus.

No conclusive results but some areas showing promise. Lots of ongoing research in this area, so the evidence will evolve rapidly.

New paper finds 1 in 8 adults (~7 million) in Great Britain in 2023 were finding it difficult to manage financially and 1 in 15 (~3.5m) had been in rent/mortgage arrears in the past year.

Odds of psychological distress were much higher among these groups.
