The research was carried out under the Pep4Fish project, funded by the Blue Bioeconomy Pact through the Recovery and Resilience Plan.

A study led by researchers from CIIMAR indicates that it is possible to reduce the use of fishmeal in the diet of farmed sea bass by using by-products from the food industry, without compromising growth or the nutritional value of the fish.

Throughout the project, six working groups will identify lines of action and formulate recommendations, priorities, and flagship projects that contribute to the smart specialisation of this sector in the Northern region.

This project is co-financed by the Norte 2030 Regional Programme.
