Although I didn’t originally think I’d use these Gameboy images as a rephotographing project, I’m finding purpose for the imagery in doing so. The pixelated, deresolved image feels, for me, as a good approximation of what’s left of MLK’s dream in Trump’s America.

This was an unexpected stop on my 17,000-mile roadtrip, sadly having been unaware of the Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Hotel, I more or less stumbled upon this as I pulled into town. I spent hours going through the museum and only wished my entire family could have been with me.
