If they libelled you, yes, as they would need to prove their accusation.

That's a bit like cancelling the Eurovision Song Contest because Ukraine is being invaded. These events bring some relief, some escape, from trauma. A bit of 'time out' for people. I'm sure the Oscars will not fail to reference the fires and their effects.

"Out of respect for people who were sharing their stories" tells me what I need to know.

If someone falsely, as he suggests is the case with him, and publicly, accused me of something like this, I don't think I would proffer them any 'respect'.

Also, take a look at the idolisation (by women, mostly) of JK Rowling. They frequently refer to her as their 'queen'.

So I don't buy into this 'men are internally weak so they need leadership' argument. Tbh, it seems to glisten with a good sheen of misandry.

There is no statistical proof that either men or women prefer to be led.

However, there is proof (polling) that women prefer male leaders (40% to 27%). Why is that?

Quite like this 'gaming' chair of theirs too (Β£70) as it looks really comfortable, even if the armrests do look like the xenomorph from Aliens.

I buy my desks and storage furniture in B&M. Haven't had a single thing wrong with it yet, and much cheaper. Even comes with all the tools to put it together.

I think there is a greater chance that Elon Musk is having a mental health breakdown than there is that he has some strategic plan.

An earful of gill: Evolutionary origin of the mammalian outer ear A recent study has uncovered the surprising evolutionary origin of the mammalian outer ear, linking it to the gills of ancient fish and marine invertebrates. The research reveals that both structures ...

Human ears evolved not from hearing apparatus, but from gills.

Scientists have discovered, by studying zebrafish, that human and other mammalian ears are basically extended gills which evolution adapted for hearing purposes.

Someone invent a new social media platform which combines all the elements of Facebook, Instagram and X, and we can all go there. And host it somewhere in Europe, not the USA.

Anyone else getting sick of the pictures of cats, beaches, fungi and moons?

I mean, come on. We can look those up anytime. We don't need a feed full of them. Make this site more interesting please.

Arrest linked to secret filming of women for videos shared on TikTok A BBC North West investigation found the videos had millions of views and attracted misogynistic comments.

Just because someone feels uncomfortable that you're filming them in public, or that you posted a video of them walking in public, it's not enough to arrest someone. It's legal to film anyone in public. Clearly, stalking and harassment is a different kettle of fish.

What is it about watching snooker that feels nice and comforting and warm? Cricket also has that feeling, a bit, but most sports don't?

I'm not sure I have any. There's always one or two songs I dislike, even on the best albums. If I think about it in terms of longevity combined with number of good songs, I would choose this one:

Every transphobic argument can basically be boiled down to: "I actually don't know the science at all or have a good argument here, but trans people challenge my long held view of the world and it's very uncomfortable and everyone should be expected to move around my discomfort."

Boybands Forever - Series 1: Episode 1 It’s the early 90s, and Take That are vying with East 17 for both teenage hearts and chart dominance, giving birth to a British pop phenomenon which would define the decade.

I've been watching Boybands Forever, the new BBC docu-series.

Really sad how little mental health care these guys were given. Fleeced by their managers, thrown to the press wolves.
