maybe so -- like too many christians are assholes -- the folks you ran into are posers.....communism is not an extremist system by nature -- - at all...now, capitalism...if you want an extremist system....there's one for you.

where is ther nat'l leadership on this -- Pritzker, Newsom, Hochul....great -- but too they should be calling for Schmuner and Jeffries to step down in favor of some leaders with fire in their bellies.

what will happen is that because no one but fringe folks like Kshawma Sawant or Jill Stein are talking about those things & no one listens to them, we may win cuz of backlash -- but when Dems don't deliver, we'll be back to another Trump figure...we ought to push elite Dem to talk about poverty etc.

depends upon if Putin backed down or not I suppose -- facing what he would have faced had we mobilized I don't see it.

4 me, saying out was as good an option as mobilizing. Putin would have established a pro-Russian govt., like we install pro US govts when we go into countries & that would have been that. It was very reckless to do what we did, mobilizing equally so - Ukraine isn't worth the end of the species.

but that woudn't have allowed us to funnel so much money to our MIC...not to mention getting to test weapons out...our leaders are sick, twisted bastards.

the half-stepping we did merits severe crticism...shoulda stopped it or stayed out.

maybe -- but, more likely is that Putin would have backed down without much warfare....maybe Biden would have been criticized by some on the fringes...but, clearly it would have been a much better outcome....and I don't actually think any criticism would have been valid.

simple -- mobilize -- our $1T+ annual spending, not to mention our NATO allies' forces, were orders of magnitude more powerful than what Russia could have mustered...no?

the party is dead. unless it embraces what people want instead of what their corporate overlords want they will never recover...they might win in the midterms (if we have them) as a backlash but we're not Trump isn't a winning strategy longer term.

for me, the fact the we, the only remaining superpower, didn't stop this from the start and avoid over 1/2 million deaths and 10s of billions in property damage, not to mentions millions of soliders with a lifetime of PTSD... leaves anyone defending our 'position' in quite a fix.

being anti-war isn't the same as being pro-Russian - just sayin.

and in Cheyenne WY they are trying to build an AI center that will gobble more power than all the residences in the whole state....elected officials permitting these projects are killing us for capitalism

there are no saviors when the system is broken -- and the Dems are just as guilty of breaking it as the GOPers...we need real progressives to be put in power who will tax the rich and provide people with affordable healthcare, childcare, eldercare,education, housing and food.

In a red rural area went to a potluck for lefties last nite -- 1 topic discussed was how to deal w/ppl who you know are 'good- hearted' but are supporters of the OD. It was all I could do to keep from saying I never knew a Nazi could be good-hearted.

Some warned that Dems breaking from the New Deal & embracing neoliberalism — deindustrialization, financial dereg, gutting the safety net, destroying unions & legalizing corruption — would convince the working class *both* parties are bad & that wouldn’t work out well for Dems.

Now here we are.

I worked for the feds for 26 years -- as Snowden demostrated to us, we hoover up so much data and we have so many people analyzing what's hoovered up that, to me , it's absurd to believe there was large scale fraud with no indications of it.

if the Dems, holding all the levers of power in the country with the largest and most sophisticated intel organization in the history of the planet couldn't tell between election day and inauguration day that the election was stolen...they don't deserve to govern.

what do you propose they say/do about that stuff...for me, if kitchen table stuff means M4A - capping rents - prohibiting corporations from buying residential housing, stopping the kidnapping of our neighbors....yeah, that what they oughta be talking about vice wringing their hands.

As with Biden, the OD's mental decline makes one wonder who the key people are that are pulling his strings...I keep seeing headlines that say he wants this or that -- f, all he wants is someone to change his diapers....who's running the country and putting in place these f'd up policies...

I hope somewhere people are keeping lists of who these kidnappers are so that when sanity returns they can be brought to justice.

There are some embittered, aging, very online MSNBC-addled libs who can never forgive Bernie & his staff for not being polite enough to Democrats about this crushing reality.

call for some action....civil disobediance -- a strike -- or how about tha tthe Dem promise policy changes to benefit the working class...oh, what ever happened to abortion rights.....stop yammering in platitudes and call for action.
