This is a morning ritual. I get my breakfast - yogurt, blueberries, and some cereal (all low sugar), and she prowls around patiently waiting for her share.
She gets a normal breakfast, this is just a small treat.

A friend has a morph deck built using an unconventional commander that fits this concept.
Also, pet cards are a thing and every deck should have at least one. (This I've mostly done).
Just because people build a commander one way doesn't mean you have to.
