I wrote this essay about having a book pulled. I think it speaks to issues indie writers can face when working with small publishers: lack of formal protections, imbalance of emotional labor, when "crazy writers" like myself end up being more professional than the professionals in the equation.

I rly appreciate this review. been thinking a lot about moral panic lately, how unhinged it is that trans people are being scapegoated/demonized right now by our current admin. It's much more pathetic/harmful than targeting goths in the 90s as we have more tools and access to info at our fingertips

Has the most magical time in Colombia

I have so many failed novel attempts that live in my Google drive. But my current novel attempt feels the most promising: the characters aren't just a a veiled version of memoir and yet they feel more real and close to me than ever

The same dude gets it every year. I'd love if someone new wins, even if it's not me. Am I the BEST author in VT? Probably not but would be honored to be a finalist. I feel like I often don't fully fit neatly into any literary award or recognition circle.
