Head scratch moment, then an “aha”moment: “what are the nouns in that sentence?” Only include nouns in your word equation, what are the adjectives include them in the brackets as a one or two letter abbreviation

I taught word equations to year 9 set 4 (bottom) today - a topic that many still struggle with in yr 10 and 11. Explained (concrete to abstract), modelled then CFU on MWBs. “I let solid Iron rust in Gaseous Oxygen and it made solid Iron Oxide. Write, hover, whats the word equation” 🧵
