Yeah it seems to have basic errors of chronology and terminology someone in that position shouldn't make.

It's a truly awful piece. It's like someone prompted an AI to pen a defensive piece that pins our current economic woes on the last govt. It's full of wild leaps in logic and ideology masked by the language of reckonomics.

Not an economist, but this doesn't fully gel fact or time-wise. Unemployment was low until 2024, so not classic stagflation, and ahem ahem: we still have an independent central bank that dropped the ball on inflation and interest rates.
