For decades, corporate profits came first. Now working families are paying the price.

As governor, Ruwa Romman has a plan to lower costs and build a Georgia where we can afford to live—and belong.

Georgia needs a leader who will be honest about who is the cause of the challenges we face and who can mobilize a movement to deliver results.

Thanks to @rpaynereport.bsky.social at Salon for highlighting why this race matters and why change is overdue.

Trans Week of Awareness may be ending, but our commitment isn’t. Protecting trans Georgians protects all of us. No political “strategy” justifies harm. We’re fighting for a Georgia where everyone feels safe, valued, and included. 🏳️‍⚧️

Image of statement on navy background reads: Yesterday, law enforcement stopped a would-be mass shooter from carrying out a horrific attack inside the world’s busiest airport right here in Georgia. We thank law enforcement for acting on a tip from the suspect’s family, and we’re grateful that police were able to make an arrest before tragedy struck.

According to news reports, the suspect had an AR-15 assault rifle, the very weapon used in too many senseless tragedies. Thankfully, yesterday’s events ended without a single shot fired, but all too often, that’s not the case.

Context is important here. More than a decade ago, Republicans in the Georgia General Assembly spearheaded a bill to dramatically loosen gun laws. The bill allowed guns in public places including airports, so long as the carrier didn’t attempt to take them past TSA security checkpoints.

It was a reckless decision by the General Assembly. Although police prevented yesterday’s shooting before it started, the Georgia Constitutional Carry Act puts us all at risk because the possession of the weapon would not have been enough to apprehend the suspect. Had it not been for the family’s tip, I shudder to think of what would have unfolded.

We need to repeal these dangerous laws. As Governor, I’ll work with my colleagues to close these loopholes and ensure those visiting our state and Georgians welcoming loved ones are safe while doing so

Now is the time to be brave. Republicans in Georgia have controlled our state for over 20 years leading to underfunded schools, closing hospitals, & low wages stuck at $5.15.

I'm running for Governor to change that.
