Love this. Well done!
09.11.2025 22:11 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A recently finished acrylic painting of a landscape, on an easel.
Fighting a cold this week, but I did finally hang this piece that I've been working on for several days.

I like that idea

16.10.2025 00:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0An acrylic painting - on an easel on a coffee table - of Diabolos, an esper from Final Fantasy 8. The figure is fully fleshed out now, and a magical lamp has been added to the painting. The background has yet to be painted.
Good progress today.

A kitchen counter with an easel that holds an unfinished painting of Diabolos, an esper from the Final Fantasy series. Painting supplies and Steiner - the cat - can also be seen.
Here is a larger, more ambitious painting that I started recently. Who's that esper? It's Diabolos from Final Fantasy 8.
I've also been revisiting / streaming Super Dungeon Maker (a Zelda-like Maker program) and playing SaGa Frontier 2 offline.

An acrylic painting depicting a shade-type regular enemy from Lufia 2.
A shade-type enemy battle sprite from Lufia 2.
Finished another small (8x10) piece. Shade-type foe from Lufia 2. Trying to pick relatively simple sprites and interpret them with paint.

An acrylic painting of a silver tower in a forest clearing.
Pixel art depicting a silver tower in a forest clearing.
Finished another acrylic painting, this one inspired by the artwork of the title card for the Esa Engine Demo (pixel art by @cannonfodderg.bsky.social.) This is the longest I've ever spent on a single painting and I'm pleased with the way it came out.

25.08.2025 16:46 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Can hardly believe that after seven years of hard work we are finally releasing our second full-length JRPG.
I hope you all check out "Quartet" - especially if you love the classics! August 26th!

An acrylic panting of a green castle on a distant mountaintop with some trees, foliage, and a lake in the foreground.
A black-and-white image of the title card from the 1986 computer game Dark Castle. There's a dark castle on a distant mountaintop, with some trees, foliage, and a lake in the foreground.
Just finished this acrylic painting based on the title card from the 1986 computer game Dark Castle (Silicon Beach Software) - one of my favorites growing up.

Esa progress: in about 3 hours this evening, implemented Saving & Loading to my Godot JRPG engine. The tutorial is a good starting point:
docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tu...
But when loading custom classes, Arrays of Dictionaries, etc. (instead of nodes) there's some nuance req'd.

Personally, I would not look for something like this on Steam, you might consider releasing on itch.io to give yourself more control and hope for good word of mouth
Practice projects are great, as long as you are honestly challenging yourself and learning something new with each one. A huge % of games anyone ever started never get finished. That's always been a truth of our craft. Game Jams are great too, and I suggest doing in groups so there's accountability~
