You ever go out to do some light yard work and then “You Say Run” comes on and all of a sudden

I made quick work of it, the items dropped will improve my arms even more

I can now level up

Few souls wasted, the reward is all the sweeter

I know how to beat this game

I just became the destroyer

I must become a farmer

The sheer number of them are overwhelming

I attack head on, it’s all I can think to do

It breaks off

I can attack from behind

But I don’t need to, four light attacks and it’s gone

ignoring the notes on the ground from other heroes. I have no fire, my primary weapon worn down to nearly nothing

In front of me are a hundred slime monsters all with shields that put my little parry circle to shame

Flashes of Sekiro, Elden Ring and Dark Souls run through my head

I cannot figure out how to level up, thousands of souls on the line.

Do I risk it?

I’m stuck in a never ending nightmare of the same enemies over and over again.

Do I have any other option?

I have made it back to the beginning, but not through death or defeat

Victory has lead me home, a gate opens and the bosses lair presents itself.

I stare into the fog, too thick to discern what awaits me

I MADE IT!

The enemies are easy fodder, I’ve killed hundreds of others just like them.

My sword has been sharpened and augmented as much as I can with the materials that drop here.

The twists and turns cannot protect these husks from my blade

I wait for the dragon to fly away, strip down completely.

I am lighter

I am faster

I am The Flash

I’m annoyed, at the end of my rope, I know in the other From Software games I can level up, WHY CANT I LEVEL UP IN THIS GAME!?

I reach the bridge, it’s easy farming not that it does me much good.

A dragon flies in and napalms the whole thing.

All enemies die except for 2.

I need them dead

More grinding, more healing items collected, I know this whole area by heart

Or so I thought

So I spent hours and hours grinding just to stand up to this insane “first boss”

Unlocking, collecting resources, upgrading weapons

Still he got me in one hit
