Thanks, Fiona. I'm alright, I just had to try to put in words why this feeling hits me like it does, I hadn't fully considered the ins and outs of living so much of life in a pseudonymous way

And by validation, I simply mean being seen and recognized in actual, meaningful social interactions.

This is what I feel is making me feel so acutely lonely: a very large and meaningful part of me is cut off & it creates an odd schism, a split of sorts, in which the Simo aspect of my overall personality is never fully integrated, and stands apart, a vestigial appendage, awaiting social validation.

The part of me that is Simo has come to be a bigger and bigger part of me, of who I am. But at the same time, this part has no direct means of expression, and almost no actual contact with anyone.

That's exactly what makes it so hard: not having anyone to hang out with. I think what’s happened is that over the 15 years I've been a furry, I've spent a lot of time and energy developing Simo, through Rps, talking to furs online, in stories, and in my imagination.

Yeah, it's been so hard up here. We have maybe one meet a year, the others are all a 3 or 4 hour drive each way. There's not really what I'd call any kind of furry community here.
