My fourth hike of the week yesterday, under cold but abundant sunshine, had me sniffing the breezes around Fallen Leaf Lake and sneaking up on feeding cormorants. Each turn of the trail was refreshing.

Saturday brought a #forest #hike of big and small bits of #nature, from distant Mount St. Helens looming over the #landscape and tall timber, to natures wonders under foot. A #restorative afternoon on the trail.

When the mountain is out, its always a good day!

Thursday was a good day to #hike too, it seems, this time in the bottomlands of the Washougal River, walking among natures little creatures, with Mt. Hood alighting the sky. What an afternoon for some soul cleansing.
