I am very much in favor of merit-based hiring and high standards for jobs with life and death implications. Which is why I oppose confirming Pete Hegseth, RFK JR, Tulsi Gabbard, and Kash Patel.

The reason Trump is railing against “DEI” hires related to a plane crash is to escape culpability for the first large scale commercial aviation disaster in USA since 2009. Is he entirely to blame? No. Did his Adm make flying less safe? Yes.
