there has been 0 good news to come out of the godforsaken games industry for the last 2 years so yeah. fuck it.

i'm gonna become an office assistant or go work in the service industry for a bit. the pay will never be as good as it was while i was actively searching for games jobs but

over the last year of rejoining small art communities and drawing again, i've found a lot more joy in drawing AND programming as a hobby. learning webdev has taken precedence over trying to find a new gig in games

learning JS from scratch has been so invigorating. i LIKE coding again.

that's not to say i'll never make games again, but i'm over making stuff that needs to be commercially viable and marketable. i simply do not care about these projects i'm applying to work on. i just need a job so i can have money. and i'm at a breaking point.

no one i know from my career follows me over here so i'll just say that lying about my excitement for projects i have no real interest in just so i could potentially get a job? it's cringe. for everyone involved.

i'm done working in a creative field where i feel no passion for what i'm creating
