My oldest son and youngest daughter each got infected once. That’s all it took. My daughter got sick after a K-pop concert. Something shifted. She had a pre-existing issue, but after that infection, it snowballed. (6/18)

We ended up in northern Vermont, on a little farm near the Canadian border. Found a community. Started homeschooling. We’ve kept our masks on. Got our vaccines. My wife, my son, and I still haven’t had COVID—not even once. That’s six years clean. (5/18)
