Especially poignant given that the venue, Liverpool Cathedral, not only backs onto Europe’s oldest #Chinatown but because this is where my grandparents arrived in the UK as migrants over 100 years ago

I don’t fancy shelling out for a new tuxedo for the #NationalDiversityAwards this week, so I’m dusting off my wedding suit and hoping it still fits.

[Update]: It no longer fits—much to my children’s amusement. I can’t imagine how it’s become so tight, but £10 an inch seems fair!

Just sent my chapter to the publisher for an upcoming volume on whether AI can truly love. I’m especially thrilled because it revolves around ‘NieR: Automata’—a haunting Japanese masterpiece where androids fight, suffer, remember, and—perhaps—love.

As someone who didn’t hit their A-level targets, I want to say this: I know it may not feel like it right now, but your grades don’t define you. They’re not the full story of who you are or what you can become. Your value is not a piece of paper. #ALevelResultsDay

Such a joy to be part of the Diocese of Norwich Headteachers’ Conference today in the stunning grounds of Norwich Cathedral. We explored big questions—juxtaposing Jürgen Moltmann and Kazoh Kitamori to rethink the theological roots of how we approach social justice in our schools and academies.

Clergy friends, SOS: speaking at Norwich Cathedral tomorrow, forgot my dog collar, and I’m stuck in a Premier Inn. Can I fashion one from a tea towel? A communion wafer? Sheer panic? Help a vicar!

First time at 10 Downing Street today. Spotted Larry the Cat, looking like he runs the place. Standing at the heart of government, my thoughts were with those at General Synod carrying the weight of decisions that shape our national church. Maybe we need a cat too.

A little glimpse behind the scenes in preparation for this week’s Church of England National Online Service. It was such a pleasure to welcome members of the Comms team to St. John’s, Woodley and see how everything all fits together.

Each week, I upload the weekly service for St. John’s, Woodley. One of my tasks is to take a photo for the thumbnail. This one is my favourite so far, ice-crystals taken from the inside of my car with the church in the background. It's stuff like this that keeps things interesting!
