Former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert has said Israel's plan for a ‘humanitarian city’ in Rafah would create a “concentration camp” if it goes ahead.

The already devastated Palestinian population cannot be subject to yet more unfathomable cruelty at the hands of Netanyahu.

Reeves says rules and red tape are ‘boot on the neck’ of business At the Mansion House dinner she calls for regulators to allow more risk to clear the way for economic growth

Cutting "red tape" (aka public protections), as Reeves is doing, does not save money. Instead, it transfers costs from the rich to the poor. Other people pay for financial recklessness, filthy rivers, air pollution, lax building standards and consumer rip-offs.

I just voted against proscribing Palestine Action, a civil disobedience group, as a terrorist organisation. But I'm furious that in doing so, the government forced me and others to vote against proscribing two other clearly terrorist groups. Cynical and dangerous from govt.

Sad but not surprised to see the 3 Medway MPs voting for the flawed welfare reforms. Our 4 @greenparty.org.uk MPs voted against an unfair and cruel bill that again targets the vulnerable. Medway MPs will no doubt make statements justifying their decisions.

Almost no mention of social care in Reeves’ speech—so disappointing. Fair pay for care workers and a boost to the NHS are welcome, but that alone will not repair the care sector. We need a fully funded social care system if we want to free up hospital beds and ensure dignity for all. #SpendingReview

The Government says it will take 'concrete action' if Israel does not stop its latest attack on Gaza and end restrictions on aid.

The time for action is now. The UN has warned that 14,000 babies in Gaza could die in the next 48 hours.

End arms sales. Impose sanctions. Recognise Palestine.

In March, I pressed Daniel Zeichner directly about how farmers who were midway through their SFI cancellation had been promised six weeks’ notice if the scheme were to close, and yet had the rug pulled from under them when the scheme was cancelled with zero warning. 1/3

Since the partial suspension of export licences in September 2024, the UK has exported over 8000 individual munitions, 150,000 bullets and 299 "tanks and other armored fighting vehicles" to Israel.

Continuing to arm a genocidal regime is indefensible.

The UK must end ALL arms sales to Israel.

The Green Party has always been clear, the Government must recognise the state of Palestine.

And now Labour are even being outflanked by the Tories on this issue.

In the face of clear genocide and ethnic cleansing by Israel, there is only one correct course of action.

The Government's disability benefit cuts will affect 700,000 families who are already in poverty as well as driving another 250,000 people below the poverty line.

Labour are CHOOSING to target nearly 1 million disabled people instead of taxing the super-rich fairly.
