Very true. Decent exercise, engaged in the sport, kids having fun (mostly) and the pay isn’t bad. It’s solid until those shitty parents start mouthing off.

I gotta attend more shows in soccer/football stadiums so I can get back to reffing shows.

Nice! I raced as a kid. Don’t remember what we used to call the course officials. Were they always called referees? I’m thinking of the people who’d be assigned to a cluster of gates and DQ the racers who straddled/missed gates.
