As the UN OEWG on cyber enters its final stretch, 🇭🇷 Croatia remains committed to consensus, cooperation, and a future mechanism that strengthens global cyber stability — with the expectation that years of constructive dialogue will be adequately reflected in the outcome.

At the annual #UNGA debate marking #R2P20, Croatia promoted national prevention as the cornerstone of atrocity prevention. We welcomed the focus on R2P focal points & National Human Rights Institutions - prevention starts at home. 🇭🇷 contributed also through the PBC & R2P GoF.

The #UNGA adopted today by consensus a historic resolution proclaiming 27 June the International day of deafblindness! Croatia is proud to have led this effort with 🇦🇬🇩🇯🇯🇴🇹🇿 and in partnership with the @WFDeafBlind!

Today at #UNSC debate on IRMCT, Croatia🇭🇷 reaffirmed its strong support for the remaining work of the Mechanism, and preservation of the ICTY and ICTR legacy. Resolving the fate of 1748 missing Croatian citizens remains our long-standing priority.

At today’s #UNSC debate on Protecting Civilians, 🇭🇷 called for stronger IHL compliance and a holistic approach to sustaining peace. Highlighting the staggering nr of #missing persons and reminding of #R2P, we reaffirm: justice and protection must be priorities, not promises.

During #POCweek2025 and on the occasion of the annual #UNSC debate on Protection of civilians, Croatia🇭🇷joined today the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Greece and 80 others, in a common call to respect #IHL always: not as a mere aspiration but a moral and legal obligation.

At the briefing on #UN80 with SGUN Guterres, Croatia 🇭🇷 confirmed it stands ready to support a bold, ambitious future for the @UN. We must act together—Member States & the UN system—to ensure impact, accountability & efficiency, improving mandate delivery across its pillars.

Today at the @UNECOSOC special meeting on #AI, Croatia🇭🇷 stressed that digitalization is one of its development priorities and that it stands ready to share its national experience, including through the work in #ECOSOC if elected for the period 2026-28.

#UNSC debate on #BiH: 🇭🇷 urged all political actors to engage constructively & respect the constitutional order of 🇧🇦

Lasting political stability in BiH can only be achieved through meaningful reform that eliminates discrimination & inequality among the three constituent peoples.

Croatia 🇭🇷 reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the #NPT as a cornerstone of global nuclear non-proliferation.
We continue to strongly support non-proliferation, disarmament, and the rules-based international order.

Today at the @UNECOSOC #FfD Forum, Croatia🇭🇷 underlined the importance of #private sector investment in sustainable development & offered to share the lessons learned through its work in #ECOSOC if elected for the term 2026-28.

In the panel on #SDG3, Croatia 🇭🇷 called for prioritizing #health through inclusive & science-driven policies that rely on partnerships with #youth to build healthy & resilient societies for us & the generations to come.

On the occasion of the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in #MineAction, Croatia participated in a 🇦🇿 event on humanitarian mine action, highlighting bilateral cooperation and its success in demining. 🇭🇷 is projected to be mine free by March 2026!

“Addressing risks posed by #AI in intl peace & security is not a barrier to innovation - it is its safeguard. By setting clear boundaries, rooted in human rights, freedoms & values, we cultivate an environment where AI advances safely”, 🇭🇷 said at #UNSC Arria meeting on AI.

At the Arria-formula #UNSC meeting on #SALW control, Croatia reiterated its call for responsible arms transfers and prevention of weapon diversion. As part of support for intl peace and security, Croatia strengthened national legislation and aligned with EU and UN frameworks.

At today’s #UNGA briefing by High Commisioner @volker_turk on #missingpersons, Croatia reminded of its experience and progress in finding those missing after the Homeland War. 🇭🇷 continues to advocate for enhanced cooperation, the opening of archives and information sharing.

At today’s #UNGA meeting on the implementation of the #PactForTheFuture, Croatia🇭🇷 stressed that this is the time to double down on our efforts.
