⛰️山海経24: 鵕鳥。「まっすぐなクチバシのトビ」という難題すぎる怪鳥。大鶚と同様に帝に成敗されているので、こちらもデュラハン鳥にしました。
🌊Shanhai jing 24: Xun-niao. Another deity bird slain by the emperor. It’s remarkable that the description says they are a raptor with a straight bill. I don’t think such birds exist at present.

19羽め：鶉鳥(Chun-niao)。鳳凰の仲間らしい。鳳凰にも種類ってあるんですね！？他にどんなのがいるんだろう。漢字をそのまま日本語読みすると「うずらどり」です。かわいい。皇帝のあらゆる器物・服飾を司るとされているのでスタイリスト鳥っぽく描いてみました。なお上古からすでに針は使用されていたようです。当時は骨製(イラストでは金属っぽく描いちゃったけど…)

20羽め：灌灌(Guan-guan)。鳩のような鳥で、「佩びると惑わない」とされているので道に迷いがちな人なんかにいいかもしれない。造形や配色は徽宗のふくよかな桃鳩図から。頭は多い方がお得なので増やしてみました。「人が呼び交わすように鳴く」とされているので、鳴くときはこの頭がﾎﾟｯﾎﾟﾎﾟｯﾎﾟと会話する自分設定。

⛰️山海経22: 顒。4つ目の人面フクロウ。人面鳥獣だらけの山海経。中でもフクロウ率が高めなのは、元々顔が平面で鳥っぽくないからかもしれない。

⛰️山海経21: 鯈魚。淡水生の4つ首ニワトリ。分類上は魚類らしい。鯈という字はコイ科の魚を意味するそうなので、大正三色カラーにしました。

⛰️山海経18: 鳧徯。ニワトリに似た鳥が複数登場する山海経の中で、珍しく「雄鶏に似る」という性別指定が記述されている怪鳥。折角なので蹴爪を強めに描きました。

🌊Shanhai jing 11: Suan-yu, a snake-like bird with four wings, three legs and six eyes. aka the panic bringer. I’m not sure we can regard them as a bird, but ancient Chinese people did at least.
