@rangerdoug.bsky.social In reading your column today in the Chronicle today regarding redistricting the only premise that I would question would be the one regarding Abbott and his acquiescense. I would not give Abbott credit for having any reluctance whatsoever over doing Trump's bidding.

That is all fine and good except for one thing. There were no Blacks amongst the pioneers settling in 1847. Mormons have never been that gracious towards Black people even to this day.

This is not a surprise. Trump has spent his whole life levying blame anywhere he can except on himself. He has never been held accountable or taken responsibility for anything. The surprise headline here would have been if he had. The Earth would spin off of it's axis.

@cltomlinson.bsky.social The analysis in the the latest Chronicle business section about the tax breaks is one of the most heinous disgusting pieces of legislation I have ever read. By the time the Republicans finish with our country there will be only two classes of people, serfs and their Lords.

I can hardly wait until the reddest of states, Florida, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Louisiana and others are destroyed by hurricanes and told there is no FEMA for them.

Don't be so critical of the wealthy. They have needs you aren't aware of like another mansion somewhere, another opulent yacht in another harbor, a hand made vehicle only for them. People don't understand or appreciate the wealthy's need for more.

The one that in all my years of following politics I have never seen a longer one. That is groups of people who vote against their own self interests.

The one example that finally did me in was when all of the Republicans including Trump were claiming that babies were being put to death after being born as a form of abortion. When they made those statements not one journalist told them they were talking shit and they would publish it as that.

All I know is that the journalists who brought television news to the forefront such as Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, Huntley, Brinkley, Howard K. Smith, John Chancellor, and others would not have stood by and allowed him to be normalized in any form or fashion. The media has let us down.

I understand the anger on these sites regarding Trump and his immigration policy but don't alienate people who are on your side by flying a national flag from any other country than the USA. At the end of the day it is disrespectful and will turn off some people who support you. It is unnecessary.

This has got to be the most ridiculous picture yet of armed people going out to gather up illegal immigrants. You would think that this immigrants are holed up in Home Depot fighting back or back washing dishes with threatening weapons in restaurants when they seek them out there.

Thank you. The overcompensation by some men today calls into question whether or not they question their masculinity. A real man is not afraid to show motions, compassion, or empathy. They don't need to adopt an overly aggressive attitude of bullying to establish their masculinity. I do have a beard
