Closing 2025 with a long-awaited research milestone! Our new paper in Archives of Sexual Behavior documents a sharp rise in premarital sex among Bangladeshi women. I presented this work at APA Conference 2024 (Kathmandu) where it received a Best Poster Award.

Demographers ability to model the global population ("10 billion by 2050 followed by plateau") rely on DHS surveys. Without them we're blind to large parts of the globe and quality of forecasts will go down. Which is of course a non-issue if planing-horizons don't extend beyond next Friday.

On October 11, I presented our work at an interdisciplinary workshop on menstruation at the University of St Andrews, where I had the unique experience of being the only βmanβ among participants working on menopause. As a result, I was given the nickname "The Menopause Guyβ which I have loved so much and embraced for myself!
