Here is a cartoon drawing I did, scene from life. In the cartoon I am sitting with an old man who is saying “Comic idea: When I was growing up there was no such thing as neurodivergent or autistic there was only brutal physical and social punishment to get you as a round peg into a square hole”. Pen and ink on paper.

Here’s a cartoon drawing I did of a conversation I had about neurodivergence and autism, scene from life. Pen and ink on paper.

Doing the right thing, making the right decision, can still fill you with regret and sadness. That does not make it any less right, but reminds you there may be a cost to doing the honorable thing. A true warrior accepts that hard decisions, like hard truths, can wound.

‘How am I supposed to explain this to my children?’ is one of the laziest copouts that bigots have been allowed to weaponize against social progress.

“I don’t know.“ is perfectly acceptable in any situation and “Let’s find out together.” is one of the most precious ways to engage with your child.

My partner is from a large family. Many of the folks in the older generation coordinated their careers to all learn skills to help the family, training to be mechanics, roofers, plumbers, HVAC techs, welders, a travel agent, etc.

I think it was exactly that, but trying very hard to be a bad dude who does bad things because he's... bad. But, since it's was a comedy, I thought it was hilarious.

I saw it again recently and absolutely he was at peak charisma. Smooth, charming, and handsome.

I actually enjoyed his performance. Village inn Shakespeare's comedies tend to be flat and cartoonishly evil and Keanu playing that role at that time was a natural choice and his earnest and serious as as car crash delivery ends up being very funny.

I rewatched it the other day after not seeing it for many years. It was a joy to watch.
Amongst all of the fun, I really love Keanu Reeves in it. His dead serious take with the touch of his Bill and Ted era accent left just made for a perfect Shakespeare comedy villain.
I love the whole cast!

You had a perfect balance of strong but human and kind but firm, acted just right. You make a good role model for the audience. The best doctor of many really good doctors in Trek.

Absolutely! Dr. Culber was my favorite Star Trek doctor, and Start Tell has really awesome doctors.

The House on Hackmans Hill. That mummy really freaked me out.
Honorable mention to those "strange but true" books that had me scared that aliens would wander into my back yard.

Under the sauce. Chicago style deep dish is usually sauce on top, then cheese, and everything else between the cheese and crust.

I'm on the spectrum too. This administration says that autism is a disease that makes someone unfit to hold a job and then from the other side of their mouth says their golden boy genius didn't make a Nazi sign because he's got autistic superpowers. Granted, he doesn't pay his share of taxes...

“A.I. makes art accessible.” Art has always been accessible. There was like a six month period where I drew all the sketches for my comics with a lined notebook from the grocery store and a random green marker.

All of my bosses have been sufficiently engaged during the week to know the essentials of what I've been doing week to week by directly interacting with me. Managing what your direct reports are working on and their progress in a two way discussion seems a primary job for a manager.
