Itโ€™s the main tool for INVESTIGATING. Get rid of due process, accuse and penalize, and voila! No need for the OCR!

King Alexanderโ€™s history: lessons from a twice-ousted president After two forced resignations, exiled president tackles racism and selfishness undermining US higher education

8/ I'm definitely NOT defending LSU's former president who eventually lost his job over mishandling of sexual abuse allegations. But he's not wrong about the admission criteria.

LSU is currently 13% Black. Louisiana's population is 30% Black.

7/ This isn't hyperbole. After the worst of the discriminatory requirements were rolled back, LSU briefly implemented "holistic admissions." The state pushed back-hard.

If LSU couldn't do it, no one could. There's nothing bigger in Louisiana than LSU.

6/ There was no choice but to comply with the requirements. Very bad things would happen to our little institution if we didn't. I risked my career with my psudonymous blog and my other parapolitical activities fighting back.

5/ I invite anyone wanting to take a deep dive into the war against the Jindal admin and its discriminatory admission criteria to check out my old blog. 4/ This is oversimplifying things I know, but weaponizing math SAT/ACT scores to keep out students is an extremely effective tool.

I saw it first hand in Louisiana after its higher ed deseg agreement expired. 85% of Black students were briefly inelig for public U admission in the Jindal admin.

SAT math scores mirror and maintain racial inequity | Brookings The math section of the SAT mirrors race gapsโ€”what can we do about it?

3/ Back in the bad old days, there were 2 ways higher ed institutions kept out students they didn't want.

Straight up segregation, esp in the Jim Crow South.

Or entrance exams, which provided the veneer of merit.

And even now, there are racial gaps esp in math.

2/ What does "remedial math" (which hasn't been called that for almost 20 years, but okay...) have to do with anti-semitism?

Well, nothing.

But it is part of the regime's fight against DEI (aka civil rights) since they argue that equity is discriminatory.

Math is a proxy for merit. Let me unpack.

Harvardโ€™s inaction in the face of these civil rights violations is a clear example of the demographic hierarchy that has taken hold of the University. Equal defense of the law demands that all groups, regardless of race or national origin, are protected. Harvardโ€™s commitment to racial hierarchiesโ€”where individuals are sorted and judged according to their membership in an oppressed group identity and not individual meritโ€”has enabled anti-Semitism to fester on Harvardโ€™s campus and has led a once great institution to humiliation, offering remedial math and forcing Jewish students to hide their identities and ancestral stories.

1/Three words in the regime's latest salvo against Harvard reveal that their supposed investigation has NOTHING to do with anti-semitism or civil rights, but is cover for rolling back civil rights under the guise of merit.

"Offering remedial math."

No, Trump Is Not Pulling Columbiaโ€™s Accreditation. Hereโ€™s What You Need to Know. The university isnโ€™t losing accreditation, but the move signals the administrationโ€™s latest attempt to ratchet up pressure on Ivy League institutions and accreditors.

8/ The Chronicle reported more details on this, including confirming that the current MSCHE action as listed on Columbia's SAS is related to the USED allegations of anti-semitism.

So yes, the regime is trying to strongarm MSCHE's board because #NoDueProcess

U.S. Department of Education Notifies Columbia Universityโ€™s Accreditor of Columbiaโ€™s Title VI Violation U.S. Department of Education Notifies Columbia Universityโ€™s Accreditor of Columbiaโ€™s Title VI Violation

7/ Here is the USED press release prompting the IHE article.
www.ed.gov/about/news/p...

MSCHE's board meets this month (see the SAS) and this is a blatant attempt by the regime to tell MSCHE what to do.

This isn't how it works. /end

6/ This action which involved 4 out of MSCHE's 7 standards included an evaluation visit. MSCHE gave Columbia 2 weeks to respond which is a very short turnaround time for them, but in that time period USED decided to claim noncompliance.

MSCHE=due process
USED= #NoDueProcess

5/ Since no one, including IHE or McMahon, apparently is aware that the SAS exists, this is how accreditors publicly list the accreditation status of all their members.

I suspect that the last action was triggered by USED's investigation which is now closed. www.msche.org/institution/...

05.06.2025 12:38 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

4/ This is called a Supplemental Information Report (SIR) and if I am correct that this is what will happen, will show up on Columbia's Statement of Accreditation Status (SAS) page.

It wouldn't have been triggered by McMahon's screed but by the formal letter Columbia received from USED.

05.06.2025 12:33 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

3/ MSCHE's President affirmed that they will "process these in accordance with our policies and procedures."

Meaning, due process.

Meaning, they will likely formally send Columbia a letter asking for information on relevant accreditation standards and give the university ADEQUATE TIME TO RESPOND.

05.06.2025 12:31 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

2/ USED is asking MSCHE to take action because the regime "found" that Columbia violated Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

#NoDueProcess bc they laid off most OCR staff. They can't investigate. Just accuse.

Note that investig began in the Biden admin. What's happening now is not that.

ED Pressures Accreditor to Act on Columbia The Trump administration called on Middle States to take action against Columbia for alleged civil rights violations, arguing it is out of compliance with accreditation standards.

1/ A short thread on the IHE piece about the regime's call to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) to take action on Columbia.

Essentially, USED is asking MSCHE to do something different than they already did.
