Look, all I want for you aspiring writers is to get wherever it is you're looking for. For some it's published, others it's being produced, others still just being read. Some of you just want to write, whether anyone reads it or not. And I wish you all the best of luck & inspiration on that journey.

I loved Anora but I think this is all about Sean Baker and indie film. He’s a standard bearer in the field. Such consistent work and always getting better. #oscars #hatm

Okay but the fact remains only one film this year had the courage to show me Nosferatu’s dick.

What is the point of digital technology if we do not have the option to watch Laura Dern and Isabella Rossellini watching the Oscars together for all three hours?

a few months ago, the rap on Anora seemed to be that it was out of the Oscars race because it was essentially too enjoyable to reach the stature of a deserving Best Picture. But it turns out the Academy was in the mood for fun.

By tomorrow morning, Variety will have posted 500 times about a petition to revoke No Other Land’s Oscar signed by 10,000 of the least famous names you’ve ever seen + Eli Roth.

Sean Baker is a good egg who keeps making movies about the marginalized and forgotten. Glad he won. Although it's a crime that Denis Villeneuve wasn't nominated.

a $4 million movie made in a year on free open-source software winning the Animated Film Oscar is going to make the industry a little shook

Not to be "cringe" or "basic" or "having a sincerely positive feeling about something", but I really enjoyed the Oscar ceremony. Almost every movie I thought deserved recognition got some, Conan was funny, it was nice to have a few hours to focus on something besides psychopathic politicians. Bravo.

Losing #DavidLynch is one of the most tragic things to happen to the world of film and television.
His work was truly profound and changed my life greatly.
