Eigentlich ist klar: Der Verbrauch von klimaschädlichen Kraftstoffen muss sinken. Doch 2025 ist der Verkauf von Benzin und Diesel in Deutschland um etwa 1% gestiegen. Der Straßenverkehr verursachte damit erstmals etwa genauso viele Treibhausgase wie die gesamte Industrie.

Which protected the SF until now. Upcoming weeks are getting interesting. I don‘t expect that many tankers will be stopped, boarded or seized by EU-lawenforcement. But at least some. Anyway: even so it’s only Jan., 2026 turns out to be a very hard year for the SF-business-model.

As allready mentioned: the shadowfleet-business is getting harder. The most suprising fact in this is, that Russia is no longer able to defend its fleet (even so it‘s vital for Putins war economy). The attacs in Mediterran Sea led to an overstretching of Russias chain of military vessels …

Danmark is a sefarer nation (which is also true for Norway). I‘m afraid we won‘t see solid action from Danmark as authorities fear that Danmarks fleet might be treated vice versa. More over is Danmarks maritime complex profiting from the shadowfleet.

It‘s not that easy. Look at Eventin to see, how much trouble a confiscated vessel causes. Who wants to have a filled tanker in his harbour? Is the competent authority able to counter military action (in case a tanker is protected, by, let‘s say Russia).…

No one can be watching this Davos speech and reach any conclusion but that the President of the United States is mentally disturbed and that something is deeply wrong with him. This is both embarrassing and extremely dangerous.
