Our climate is changing more rapidly than at any time in the past, due to our burning of fossil fuels. These graphs make it clear, and the curves are not flattening at all.

I've been encountering over the past few days the claim that the planet is warming twice as fast as predicted. This is entirely untruthful and unhelpful.
The planet is warming AS fast as predicted, which is cause enough for dramatic action.
The truth is bad enough!
I’m in South Africa at the moment, visiting family. Chatting to a friend yesterday in Johannesburg who volunteers at a women’s shelter.
They were funded by USAid and have now had to close the shelter.

Now we need to keep going, and drive down all emissions -- greenhouse gases included -- to zero.
