Each of my students is amazing. A 1st grader was 1st to start w/what I'll soon intro as Young Diagrams&key point re:rotations/refls. She also easily solved breaking 100->10s, 20s,...,100. 530am and BWI Airport is surprisingly hopping! I hate red eye flights but thankfully seem to have slept most of 4-hour flight from warm Los Angeles to very cold Baltimore (feels like 1degF!!). I had to cut my trip short by 1 1/2 days to beat impending east coast storm. What cool bathroom signage!

It was so fun meeting several of my students in Los Angeles today over dinner. A second grader, who was early, made a charming let’s-be-friends note for a third grader. She also made nice key chains for my daughter with my daughter’s name 3D printed! #mtbos #iteachmath

We all had #mathisfun at the Durham Public Library today for K-3 students learning about the integer partition problem. I read the book, "Friend of Numbers: The Life of Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan" by Priya Narayanan and we explored breaking up integers. #mtbos #iteachmath #historyOfMath
